I created a series of brand films entirely in-house with zero production spend, combining strategy, scriptwriting, creative direction, video editing, and extensive use of AI — including AI-assisted visual development and video production. Unlike typical edtech films that rely on dense information or generic explainer formats, these films focused on emotional storytelling, strong narrative hooks, and a cinematic feel that stood out in the category.
Despite the lean setup, the films delivered strong results: view-through rates up to 40% above platform benchmarks, over millions of cumulative video views, and double-digit increases in engagement across key markets. Several films also contributed to spikes in course enrolments, demonstrating their impact beyond brand awareness. They also played a key role in driving 74% growth in YouTube subscribers, helping the channel cross 100K subscribers and earn the Silver Creators Award.
These films showed how resourceful, AI-enabled production and thoughtful narrative design can deliver high-impact creative without traditional budgets.
